As a single woman in her late 20’s, the pressure is on to find someone to settle down with and start a family. At least that’s what society says, and of course, we’re constantly hounded by family and friends. The token question before greeting us with our success stories is, “When are you getting married”, or “When will you give us a niece/nephew or grandkid”? At times we can feel lonely; however, there is light at the end of the tunnel with being single. The light is our self-love!
“There is a spark that evolves when we allow ourselves to embrace our singleness”...
For instance, the ability to foster a healthy environment of solitude as a woman in order to transition into the QUEEN’S God has intended us to be to better prepare ourselves for our desired King is no easy process- yet it’s necessary to fulfill our destiny!
Because this message is so dear to my heart, I have decided to write a letter to my, “Future King”. In which I also challenge each of you to do the same. My goal in writing this letter to him was of me expressing and visualizing his expectations of me as his, “Future Queen”. Remember Ladies, this is important! It is easy to visualize what we want, yet being intentional with how he visualizes you is just as vital!
Pastor T.D. Jakes once referenced that “Singleness has to be managed, and when it is managed appropriately and effectively that it is a gift! To be single means that I am a whole person- not fractioned”!
Now that is a testimony within itself!
